Homebound Instruction for School Districts
When a student can't attend school for medical or psychiatric reasons, your district still owes them instruction. Einstein Tutoring sends qualified teachers to the student's home or hospital bedside, in person, so your team doesn't have to find, vet, and schedule a tutor on short notice. Students receive instruction in core subjects, including Honors and AP courses, and we provide curriculum materials when a student has none. Our teachers deliver IEP accommodations, and we also serve students awaiting an out-of-district placement, year-round, including summer. Education Services for Hospitals and Treatment Facilities
We provide in-person instruction for school-age patients in inpatient psychiatric units, residential treatment centers (RTCs), partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), and medical hospitals. Once staff refers a student, we match a teacher to their grade and subjects. That teacher coordinates with the student's home school to keep them on their own curriculum, so their return to class goes smoothly. Scheduling works around treatment, and we can combine in-person and virtual sessions as needed.
Special Education
We collaborate with special education directors to develop tailored tutoring programs for students requiring extra support, both in schools and at home. Our joint efforts with schools ensure a flexible and individualized approach, contributing significantly to the overall academic achievement of the students.
Our Process
Most students are placed with a teacher within 3 days, and nearly all within 5. Some cases take up to 14 days, depending on the student's needs and how quickly the district sends the required documentation. Once we receive the referral, we assess the student's needs, match the right educator, and coordinate the schedule directly with the family.
